Yesterday I registered Boyd and I for the Chicago Rock & Roll Half Marathon in August. I don't remember freaking out as much before I registered for Cleveland last year, but Boyd said I did. All I know is it's quite a bit of money and I freak out about the unknown.
I also know that without a race to train for I get lazy. Very very lazy.
The R&R races are pricey, but seeing as I only do one race a year I don't really care. Nice swag, great organization, bands on the course...it's worth it to me!
In other news - work is still going on.
House has been kept clean.
I am SO glad I got my kitty...I lurves him.
Son is still making me crazy proud.
March is my birthday month!! I turn 42 in 8 days. Kind of excited about that...42 is such a magical number.
I have decided to do the March NaBloPoMo to get back into the blogging habit. This month's theme is "One Word," which can be enacted in any way I see fit. I used to want to write a book - one of those thick 3X3 books that are by the counter at the coffee shop in a book store. I've always called them chunky books. Anyhow. My book would've been the kind that you can turn over so that it is really two books at once. One side would be words I like to say and hear (like curdle...what a nice sounding word, right?), the other side would be words I don't like to say or hear (like moist...ick). So I choose to celebrate NaBloPoMo with one of each kind of word. And...I just thought of this...just to make it fun I think I'll just post the words - it's up to you to tell me which you like or don't like.
Words for today:
eclectic
~and~
recticle
Which is which?

Ironically, my friend Sherilin and I had a discussion about how disgusting the word "moist" is a couple of weekends ago! It still makes me laugh.
I love the word "eclectic!" My word verification is "fourpit," and just so you know, I hate anything with the word "pit" in it. Grossness!
What a cool idea for a marathon...bands on the course! Good luck!
42? I never would've guessed by your picture.
Happy birthday!
