March 5

Words of the day!

speculate
~or~
contemplate

I had totally planned on going running outside this morning. Choose the trail, dressed warmly, strapped on the 'ole Garmin. Once we got to the trail, we decided the snow was hazardous, the rain was bothersome, and it was just too freaking cold. So off to the gym we went.

There were 4 other runners there - one an old guy that I've seen several times before. He had kinesio tape on his knees, but other than his gait being a bit heavy he seemed fine. Another guy that had a military style haircut that for the first few laps (1/12 of a mile laps...just keep turning and turning) I thought he was sprinting he had such a long stride and was going so fast. Perhaps he was doing a pace run, not sure - but he lasted for half an hour. The last runner was a young girl that was wearing HUGE headphones. I hope they sounded good, they sure were big! Oh...and number 4 - my son.

All of them passed me several times, which totally didn't bother me. The point at which I quit running was when a walker passed me after 40 minutes. She WAS speed walking, but it was a bit demoralizing. I felt better after she ran for one lap and had to quit. All in all, it was a great workout quite honestly!

Glad you're back. I realized this morning I hadn't read earlier posts because I assumed you were absent from blogging. My word choices: redundant, subliminal and contemplate. Each has more to it than a cackle, speculation, and equate which reminds me of Wal-Mart aspirin.
